The tropical-style Beachside Rooms are less than a minute’s casual stroll to the water’s edge of Aroa Lagoonarium Marine Sanctuary, but without a direct water view.
Beachside Rooms are a great-value option offering full access to The RarotonganBeach Resort & Lagoonarium’s great range of facilities and amenities.
Half the Beachside Rooms are on ground level, and half are on the second level (but still no taller than a coconut tree!). If you have a preference or mobility issues, please advise at time of booking.
The key difference between Beachside Rooms and Beachfront Rooms is that Beachside Rooms are not located directly on the beach and do not have sea views but are located a few steps from the water’s edge.

The Beachfront Rooms at The Rarotongan are Rarotonga’s most beachfront resort rooms, set as they are directly on the white sands of Aroa Beach and Lagoonarium with the island’s best snorkeling. The Beachfront Rooms are absolute beachfront with direct beach access and beautiful lagoon views.
A special delight is seeing the brilliant tropical sunrise and sunset directly from your room. This is only possible because The Rarotongan is located on the island’s southwest coast with fabulous sunrise and sunset views.
