Situated only 30 feet from the Matangi private beach, is the spacious ‘Vale-ni-Kana’ Dining Room which boasts breath-taking views of the ocean. Built entirely from local timber and showcasing intricately carved poles decorated with coconut fibre rope, this magnificent complex oozes Fijian charm. The cuisine is largely influenced by the tropical surroundings, Fijian heritage and the unique flavours of the South Pacific.
Experience the ultimate in luxury spa treatments. The ‘Ocean Spa’ features an over-water deck with relaxation area, gift shop and two couple treatment rooms, one complete with unique lava rock rain shower facility.
Drawing on inspiration from the traditional Fijian culture and natural island surroundings, the Ocean Spa’s interior features intricate carvings of tropical fish and marine life, lava rock and local hardwoods. Matangi Islands respect for the Fijian culture and the ocean is reflected in the variety of treatments that they offer including the Fijian ‘Bobo’ massage, ‘Lava Shell’ and ‘Hot Stone’ massage as well their signature ‘Earth Sea Salt’ and ‘Coconut Sugar Glow’ body treatments.

Surrounded by lush tropical foliage, offering ultimate privacy, and yet only steps from the beach, the three split-level Treehouses are unique to Matangi Island. These 850-square-foot accommodations sit just a few steps from the beach and come equipped with air conditioning, plus many unique features. Cool off in the outdoor lava rock shower, soak in the outdoor Jacuzzi, take in expansive water views from the spacious sun deck, snooze on the king-sized daybed, and savor a fresh supply of cookies daily.
Sitting on its own private point only steps from the ocean, the Two Bedroom Bure is the largest of the accommodation. Built in the same style as our spacious Beachfront Bures, it is ideal for couples traveling together and groups.

Deposit of USD $1000 is due within 7 days of booking.
Bookings made within forty five (45) days of the client’s arrival are
payable in full immediately.
Matangi’s nightly rates include three gourmet meals daily, with lunch and dinner
being three course meals. We serve Pacific Rim cuisine with a distinctive flavour
typical of the Fiji Islands. We support our local communities and source local produce
from subsistence farmers.
Lunch and dinner includes a vegetarian option and we do cater for special dietary
needs. (Advance notice is appreciated). Freshly baked breads accompany all of our
meals and we also offer gluten-free options. Coffee and tea with freshly baked treats
are available all day in the dining room along with pre-dinner appetizers at the bar
between 6:00pm and 7:00pm.
Breakfast: 7:00am – 9:00am. Full breakfast with hot and cold cereals, fresh fruit,
freshly squeezed tropical juices, muffins, pastries and yogurt. A hot cooked breakfast
is also offered with a choice of pancakes, French toast, breakfast burritos, eggs
cooked to order, potatoes, bacon, ham and sausage. We also serve homemade jams!

Transfers are operated by Matangi Island Resort and are compulsory. The Resort is accessible via Taveuni Island Matei Airport, 8 miles off Matangi Island. All guests are met on arrival by the Resort’s mini-van driver for their car transfer to the landing for their boat transfer across to Matangi Island. The car & boat transfers take approximately 45-minutes. Matangi resort only pick up/drop off from Matei Airport Area only.
