Highlights of our 7 night Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands cruise includes idyllic Monuriki Island where the Tom Hanks movie ‘Cast Away’ was filmed and the Sacred Islands where the first Fijians are said to have landed their canoes. You’ll also visit our own private island of Tivua, where you can snorkel through pristine coral gardens right off the beach, Sawa-i-lau with its famous limestone caves and blue lagoon and Naviti Island, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Fijian feast, lovo and cultural ceremony. Reef Endeavour cruises to idyllic Monoriki where Tom Hanks’ Castaway was filmed. Explore this natural film set and explore idyllic Monu Island, before a special village choral service. The beautiful harmonies of the village choir will simply delight you. This evening join the entertainment of our Fijian Fashion Show and Crew choir.
The Sacred Island is a place beautiful beyond belief. Legends tell of the great war canoe `Rogoboka’ which landed here with the first Fijians. On arrival, the ship’s crew pay tribute to the forefathers of Fijian culture and perform the Sevusevu (gift giving) ceremony. Spend a magical morning swimming in the aquamarine lagoons, snorkelling in spectacular coral gardens, beachcombing or coral viewing from the glass bottom boat. Over lunch cruise to the Southern Yasawa islands. Enclosed by towering volcanic peaks and palm-fringed beaches, WayaIsland is a tropical paradise. Visit a local school this afternoon and a village and shell market. The fit will also have a chance to climb to the peak of Waya for amazing views. After Breakfast, Reef Endeavour sets sail and returns to Denarau Marina at 07:30 am for a 9:00 am disembarkation.
MV Reef Endeavour is a small cruise ship catering for 130 passengers over 4 accommodation levels. Her small size allows her to negotiate remote islands, reefs and shallow bays where bigger ships are unable to go, showcasing the real Fiji and giving our passengers a true cultural experience.
Originally designed to cater for 168 passengers however with subsequent refurbishment, including the creation of suites and family rooms, the number of passengers on board at any one time is now significantly reduced allowing for even more public area and deck space to be enjoyed.
MV Reef Endeavour offers passengers 4 levels of accommodation with 63 suites, Ocean Staterooms and Porthole cabins. Each cabin is approximately 14 sq metres and features:
