Sunday Sunset BBQ
Join the Sunset BBQ at Tamanu Beach to watch the sun go down every Sunday, starting at 6 – 6:30 pm with ‘Sunset Cocktail Hour’. Cocktails will be followed by a brief family welcome at 7 pm. For starters, Tamanu Beach suggests the Island style soup (normally pumpkin) and dunk the garlic bread!
Enjoy a buffet of seasonal garden vegetables and salads, along with a selection of fresh fish and NZ beef & lamb, all served right from the BBQ! To top it off, enjoy a light island dessert. One of the rules on Tamanu’s buffet is “you have to go at least 3 times”!
You are accompanied throughout the evening by relaxing LIVE music from Taumuri Williams while enjoying yet another gorgeous Aitutaki sunset.
Cultural Show
Every Thursday enjoy Tamanu’s Takurua “Special Feast” – this is your chance to savour some true Aitutaki flavours. Then enjoy a performance of Cook Islands song, dance, fire dancing and more from our talented and dynamic cultural group TE AITO.
The fun starts at 6:30 pm. Enjoy a cocktail, wine or beer as you listen to LIVE music from the Te Aito Stringband. From 7 pm, dine on island-inspired cuisine (buffet dinner) followed by a delicious tropical dessert selection.
Watch the sun melt beyond the horizon, looking over the sparkling Aitutaki lagoon before the excitement of our traditional Fire and Dance Show! The Cultural Dance Show starts at 8.30 pm “Aitutaki time.
Tamanu Day Spa
Relax after a long flight with a soothing massage and soak in the hot tub. Visit Tamanu Beach’s tranquility garden and spa.

All bungalows feature modern bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers. We milled our own Tamanu (local mahogany) timber vanity tops and Toa (ironwood) towel rails. Walk through to your private outdoor shower. With WIFI throughout the property, you will stay in touch with the world. ALL bungalows have 43” TVs and IDD phones.
On the few days that it rains you can still enjoy “outdoor living” on your own daybed on the kwila decked verandah.
The Bungalows boast a modern layout, Kwila hardwood floors, Tamanu (local Mahogany) Vanity benches, spacious bathrooms with an additional large outside shower. Each Bungalow with their lagoon-views from your balcony and daybed provide a perfect setting to relax. The free standing bungalows have been arranged to resemble a small Aitutaki village.
Its just a short walk along the beach to our beachside restaurant.
The Garden bungalows are available in two configurations with a super king bed or two single king beds for twin share holiday.

One-bedroom beachfront bungalow is spacious and well appointed with Polynesian style decor, a modern walk-in shower with monsoon rose and an additional outside coral garden shower with private access directly from the beach.
All Tamanu’s bungalows are well placed to provide for maximum privacy and comfort. Enjoy uninterrupted views of the beach and gorgeous Aitutaki sunsets from your outdoor furnishings on the Bungalow’s spacious verandah.
One Bedroom Bungalow at Tamanu Beach Resort is your ideal getaway designed with tropical outdoor living space.
All Tamanu’s bungalows are well placed to provide for maximum privacy and comfort during your stay and you can enjoy great views and breathtaking Aitutaki sunsets from your furnished verandah.
The Beachfront Bungalow at Tamanu Beach Resort is the ideal romantic getaway right on the beach.
Lie in your super-king bed with views across Amuri lagoon – the perfect picture to wake up to. Your bungalow has a very private balcony and Daybed and features a Vittoria coffee capsule machine.
Room service from our restaurant is available upon request.
Your Intimate beachfront bungalow is spacious and well appointed with Polynesian style decor, a modern walk-in shower with monsoon rose and an additional outside coral garden shower with private access directly from the beach.
There are 4 Lagoon View Bungalows at Tamanu Beach Resort and all are within a stone’s throw of the beach. The Bungalows feature some recent finishing touches of the original Tim Buchanan Artwork.
